Although Paul’s stories are entirely fictional, the locations of the stories are mostly authentic, and places described in the novels can be visited. In this endeavor, a decent map is quite useful, and the best one can be obtained at the County Engineer’s Office, across the street from the Old Red Brick Jail, in Millersburg, Ohio.
There is also quite an elaborate map system available on the internet, and if you cannot visit Holmes County yourself, perhaps you’ll find it interesting to find the novel locations on the maps.
The following link will load the best of the available maps, but since the maps are quite extensive, it sometimes takes a moment for the various pages to load. Patience is well rewarded, though, and you’ll be able to find most of the locations mentioned in Paul’s novels.
